Our co op has used different curriculums over the past five years and as a former history teacher i felt like there were so many holes . I know that I have raved before about using BP Ancients with my 5 year old, so I will leave that alone for right now. I wanted to share how amazing this curriculum has been for ME and my understanding of Scripture. As I read the Bible, and particularly a lot of Old Testament that is really tough to chew, my understanding has been greatly enhanced by the historical context that I now have after going through this material. I have talked to so many people in different Bible study groups about it and helped them make more sense of the Bible by sharing this context with them. I have a single friend who wants to borrow our Companion when we finish this year to read it for herself and expand her knowledge of the world events that surrounded and directly impacted what we read in Scripture. My own walk with the Lord has been seriously strengthened through the knowledge that I have gained this year. The public school system really failed me, at least in the history department. I am so glad that my children will grow up with BP.

Biblioplan is the perfect blend of variety, versatility and comprehensiveness. The guide is loaded with coordinated resources to give students as much or as little depth as they are ready for. The Companions are high quality, color, and bursting with high interest information and photos. While the Cool Histories books allow customization for various ages and ability levels, the discussion guide brings the students back together to share their new knowledge as a family. The recommended readers and read alouds are fantastic and we especially love the out of print recommendations that would otherwise be lost to lesser more recent works. Of all we have looked at and all we have tried Biblioplan is hands downs the best history out there for the multi-level family homeschool.

Biblioplan is one of my favorite curricula.  We are starting into our ninth year of homeschooling, and I have seen a lot of curricula, some truly not wonderful. Yours I love and recommend to others. For my son this is his second time through, once in early grade school and again at the high school level (It’s so nice that you made it multi-level). In fact, I will be keeping the Companion textbooks for my own reference and enjoyment once we are done.

We’ve  done cyclical history curricula since the beginning of our home schooling journey, 11 years ago, but we all agree, we only learned a small fraction of history compared to that which is covered in the Biblioplan Companion.
