Some Primary Resources used in
all four of our plans for grades K-8:
The KingfisherHistory Encyclopedia
is the chronological spine resource for grades 5+ in our Ancient History;
Medieval, Renaissance, and Reformation; and America and the World studies.
We have listed the page references for the 1999 edition. Recently, a 2004 edition was published. The
2004 page topics are identical to those for the 1999 with the single
exception of the final page – 464. It has been changed to “War on Terror.”
This new 2004 edition substitutes “to Present” instead of “to 2000” on
applicable pages in “The Modern World” section, and adds minimal new text
pertaining to recent developments in the Middle East.
The Usborne Internet-Linked Encyclopedia of World
History is the chronological spine resource for grades K-4 in our
Ancient History; Medieval, Renaissance, and Reformation; and our America and
the World studies. We have listed the page references for the 2000 edition
and for the 1985 version, The Usborne Book of World History.
Story of the World volumes 1-4 by Susan Wise Bauer
are included in our Ancient History; Medieval, Renaissance, and Reformation;
and America and the World 1600-1850, and America and the World 1850-2000.
