The BiblioPlan Family Guide is a weekly reading guide for a four-year study of World history, United States history, Church history and Bible. The Family Guide provides concise, detailed reading assignments for every lesson. With the Family Guide, you don’t have to spend time planning your history lessons-- your lesson plans are already done! The Family Guide identifies the best history and literature resources for your children to read, then tells you which readings to assign and when to assign them.

There is one Family Guide for each of BiblioPlan’s four years of study. Each Family Guide includes 34 single-page reading plans that correspond with BiblioPlan’s 34-week Companions, Cool History assignment sheets, Hands-On Map assignment sheets and other supplements.

Each of the Family Guide’s 34 reading pages is divided into 3 columns that outline 3 lessons per week. Each page corresponds to one week, and each column corresponds to one daily lesson. For every week and lesson, the Family Guide provides:

  1. Classtime reading choices for all age groups to read together;
  2. Age-appropriate literature reading choices for four or more different age groups;
  3. A list of the Veritas Press cards and Classical Conversations cards that go with that week's lessons;
  4. Optional fiction and resource selections; and
  5. Family read-aloud selections.
